There is a room for 60 guests in Rikes Gasthaus, extended in the summer by our real berliner inner courtyard, where the historic house well - rediscovered during renovation work - is located. Our traditional kitchen offers you a selection of cuisine from historic Berlin, as well as from the surrounding region. Many dishes have , over time, been forgotten - unrightfully, in our option - which is why we have brought them back to table. The original recepts are taken inherited cookbooks left to Rike by her grandmother. One particular culinary house specialty is our 'Coachman's Goulash'. The dish was created at the time when brewers' draymen still carted the wooden barrels on horse-drawn drays to Berlin's taverns. Braised in Berliner beer, the meat becomes tender and aromatic. Try it sometime when you come to visit our restaurant. We naturally offer beer from the traditional Schultheiss Brewery.
